About OptiDrive
OptiDrive is an Emergency Vehicle Routing System developed as a thesis project to address the critical need for faster emergency response times in Batangas City. The system leverages A* and Bidirectional A* algorithms to compute the most efficient routes for emergency vehicles.
By converting the Batangas City road network into a node-and-edge graph, OptiDrive provides real-time route recommendations that outperform traditional navigation applications like Google Maps and Waze in emergency scenarios.

Pathfinding Algorithms
The system implements A* and Bidirectional A* algorithms, specifically optimized for emergency vehicle routing. These algorithms ensure the fastest and most accurate pathfinding through the Batangas City road network.
Graph Database
Road network data is stored as a node-and-edge graph structure, representing 271,000+ intersections and 140,000+ road segments. This enables efficient pathfinding calculations.
Geospatial Data
Utilizes OpenStreetMap (OSM) data for accurate geographic representation of Batangas City's road infrastructure. The system processes real-world coordinates to determine optimal routes.
User Interface
A responsive web interface designed for emergency dispatchers and responders, featuring interactive map visualization and real-time route calculation.
